Here at 426 West, we're often asked about the story behind our name.

It’s a question we love because it takes us back to our roots and what inspired us to start this journey in the first place.

426 West was born from a shared passion for all things Western.

The "426" in our name pays homage to one of the most iconic engines in automotive history – the 426 Hemi.

This powerhouse engine, known for its performance and dominance in the muscle car era, represents more than just power. The Chrysler Hemi engines are a marvel of American engineering. Its legacy is one of innovation, power, and freedom.

The 426 Hemi, in particular, became famous in the 1960s for its unique design and impressive horsepower, making it a favourite among drag racers and muscle car enthusiasts.

The "West" part of our name reflects our deep love for Western culture and the American lifestyle. From the iconic Western-style clothing to the laid-back vibes of California’s surfing culture, we’re captivated by all aspects of American heritage.

We are a small group of friends who have spent years holidaying, touring, and working in the States. Our love for Western culture, from the landscapes to the music and fashion, has been a constant source of inspiration. However, we quickly realised that accessing authentic American Western wear and workwear was almost impossible in the UK and Europe.

Determined to bridge the gap, we decided to bring high-quality, authentic American Western collections directly to enthusiasts like us.
